Shadowrocket
Official App Download

Paid app · One-time purchase Download on the App Store

Shadowrocket is available exclusively on the App Store. Check the store region and app identity before purchasing. Refer to the App Store listing for the price, system requirements, and purchase availability.

Storefront & Account Region

Shadowrocket isn't available in the mainland China storefront. App Store availability is based on the country or region of the Apple ID used for purchases—not just your device's location, system language, or the product page link. Open the US storefront link on this page to view the listing. The us in the link won't change your account's store region. If the page says the app isn't available in your region, check your account instead of repeatedly changing your search terms.

Check the account used for purchases

On your device, open Settings, tap your Apple ID, then tap “Media & Purchases.” Choose View Account and check “Country/Region.” Depending on your system version, Apple ID may appear as Apple Account; follow the labels shown on your device. Make sure to check the account actually signed in to Media & Purchases, which may differ from the account used for other device features. Once you've confirmed the account and region, return to the App Store to check availability.

To change your region, go to Settings → Apple ID → Media & Purchases → View Account → Country/Region. Changes may depend on factors such as your remaining balance, active subscriptions, payment method, and Family Sharing settings. Read the prompts shown by your device and confirm that you meet the requirements. This guide explains where to find the setting but can't guarantee that your account is eligible. If you encounter a restriction, resolve the account issues listed in the prompt; don't dismiss it and continue to payment.

Verify the app: developer, icon, and app ID

Use the name to find the listing and these three details to verify it. If you see listings with identical or similar names, open the product page and check each detail.

  1. Developer: Find the developer or seller details on the App Store product page and confirm the full name: Shadow Launch Technology Limited. Don't rely only on a listing that includes Shadowrocket in its name, and don't assume similar spellings refer to the same app.
  2. Official icon: Compare the listing with the official icon shown here: a rocket outlined in blue and purple on a white background. The icon is one clue; verify it alongside the developer and app ID. Color or shape alone isn't enough to confirm the app's identity.
  3. App ID: The product URL linked from this page ends in id932747118; the app ID is 932747118. To verify it, view or copy the App Store product page link and check that the number matches exactly.

Once all three details match, check the price and compatibility. Don't identify the app based on search result ranking, the number of screenshots, or similar descriptions. If any detail doesn't match, stop and return to the App Store link on this page to check again. Check the app's update history on the verified product page as well.

What the app looks like after installation

The two images on the right are official App Store screenshots showing Home and Add Server. Home shows the connection status, Global Routing, Connectivity Test, and the SERVER section. Add Server is where you enter details for your own server. Use the screenshots to find your way around; they don't replace the three identity checks before purchase.

The language, item order, and layout in the screenshots may differ from what you see on your device. Follow the interface in the app. The list shown when you first open it depends on the configuration you've imported. Buying the app doesn't generate connection details for you, and you don't need to copy the screenshot contents.

iPhone: purchase, installation, and first launch

On your iPhone, open the App Store product page linked here and confirm the account and storefront region you'll use for the purchase. Verify the app's identity, then follow the App Store prompts to buy it. Check the compatibility section of the listing for system requirements; don't infer device support from tutorial screenshots. Confirm the amount, currency, and payment account before purchasing, then wait for the App Store installation to finish.

Check Home on first launch

When you open the app, locate Home, Add Server, and Global Routing. If you haven't imported any details yet, prepare your own subscription or server settings, then follow the import steps in Getting Started. Completing the purchase and setting up a connection are separate steps; an empty list doesn't mean the purchase failed.

About the VPN configuration prompt

When you first try to connect, the system may ask to add a VPN configuration. This permission lets the system manage network connections; it isn't another app purchase. Confirm that the request comes from Shadowrocket, then follow the system prompts. You'll still need valid connection details after granting permission. See the VPN configuration prompt guide for how the prompt relates to the connection switch.

If installation stays on Waiting, check available storage and your network connection, then return to the App Store and confirm whether the transaction completed. If the store asks you to verify payment information, follow the prompts to resolve the account issue. Don't buy again just because the app icon hasn't appeared yet. Check your purchase history first to distinguish a completed payment with an unfinished installation from a purchase that hasn't been confirmed.

Future updates are handled through the App Store. You can use your device's automatic app update settings or check the account's update list. Keep a record of your existing configuration before reopening the app. Updating the app and updating a subscription are separate tasks: the App Store manages app updates, while subscription updates are handled in the client for subscriptions you already have.

iPad: using the same purchase and interface differences

Shadowrocket is available for iPhone and iPad. After purchasing with an Apple ID, sign in to that account on a compatible iPad, open the App Store's account and purchased items, find Shadowrocket, and download it again from the listing. Check the App Store page for system requirements and purchase availability. If a price still appears on your iPad, compare the Media & Purchases accounts on both devices rather than relying on the account name at the top of Settings.

An iPad has more screen space, so lists and details may be arranged differently from the iPhone layout, especially in landscape orientation. Split View also changes the visible area. Use interface labels such as Home, Add Server, Config, and Settings to find features instead of looking for the exact coordinates shown in phone screenshots. In Global Routing, Config, Proxy, and Direct refer to configuration, proxy, and direct connections; their meaning doesn't change with screen size.

A shared purchase record lets you get the app; it doesn't mean your server details have appeared on another device. After opening the app on your iPad, check your existing subscription, server entries, current Config, and Global Routing before connecting. To transfer your setup, use configuration details you've saved, and check whether any settings apply only to a particular network environment.

Switching devices and restoring: get the app, then restore your configuration

01 / Find your original purchase

On your new device, open the App Store → Account → Purchased and search for Shadowrocket. Depending on your system version, the entry may appear as Apps or My Apps; follow the labels in your account menu. Find the purchase using the Apple ID you originally used, then download the app again. You typically won't be charged again.

If the product page still shows a price, pause before confirming the purchase. Check the Media & Purchases account, your original purchase record, and whether you're using a storefront where that purchase is available. A purchased item that isn't showing up yet doesn't mean the purchase record is gone. First make sure the account and purchase record match, then address the App Store prompt.

02 / Restore your connection details

After reinstalling, check whether Home already has server entries and review the current configuration in Config. If your data isn't restored, import your own subscription or server details again. App Store purchase history records the app purchase; it doesn't save every connection setting for you.

To restore your setup, import and verify your details first, select Global Routing next, then enable the connection and test it. Change one setting at a time so you can identify the cause if something goes wrong. If your old device still works, use its working settings as a reference and check each one on the new device.

Before switching devices, organize the configuration details you already have. Note which came from a subscription, which you entered manually, and which settings apply only to the old device. Your records may contain access credentials, so keep them secure and don't share subscription links, QR codes, or screenshots of your settings. Remembering the app's name isn't a substitute for saving your connection details.

To check whether Family Sharing applies, review the App Store listing and your current Family Sharing settings. Don't assume that redownloading with the same account and sharing with family members have the same requirements. If your account region or family settings change, or your payment status is unclear, use the system prompts and purchase history to determine what applies.

Price and one-time purchase: what the app costs

Shadowrocket is a one-time paid app. The US storefront price is listed as $2.99 for reference; other storefronts display prices in local currencies. Check the App Store purchase screen for the actual amount, rather than converting one storefront's price and treating it as universal. The app purchase isn't a monthly client fee. Before confirming payment, check the item name and amount.

After purchasing, you'll still need to import your own subscription or server details. The client reads configurations, lets you choose connection methods, and applies rules. Check the validity, expiration, and settings of your existing connection details separately from the app purchase. If the App Store shows the app as purchased but Home has no server entries, return to the configuration import steps instead of paying for the app again.

Likewise, seeing Home or completing Connectivity Test successfully doesn't mean all traffic is being handled as expected. Installation, configuration, connection, and access testing are four separate stages. For price and purchase issues, check the App Store; for settings and connection modes, check the app. Troubleshooting by stage helps avoid mistaking a network issue for a purchase problem.

If you have a billing question after payment, check the transaction history, item name, and amount in the purchasing account first, then use the purchase support option provided by the system. This manual explains how to purchase and verify the app; it doesn't handle App Store payments. A temporary status shown by your bank doesn't confirm that the app purchase is complete. Check the record in your App Store account.

Shadowrocket download and purchase FAQs

Can't find Shadowrocket on the App Store? What to check first

First, check the country or region of the Apple ID used for Media & Purchases. Shadowrocket isn't available in the mainland China storefront. The us in the product page link doesn't change your account's store region. Then verify the product name, developer Shadow Launch Technology Limited, and app ID 932747118.

The product page opens, but the download won't complete. What should I do?

Note the App Store message, then check your account region, payment status, device compatibility, available storage, and network connection in that order. If the purchase hasn't completed, check your transaction history before trying again. Refer to the App Store listing for system requirements.

Do I have to pay again when I switch devices or reinstall Shadowrocket?

Sign in with the Apple ID used for the original purchase, find Shadowrocket under your App Store account's purchased items, and download it again. You typically won't be charged again. If a price still appears, check the purchasing account and transaction history. After reinstalling, you'll still need to restore your own subscription or server details.

Can I use the same purchase on iPad?

After purchasing with an Apple ID, you can install Shadowrocket on compatible iPhone and iPad devices. Find it in the App Store's purchased items on your iPad. Check the App Store listing for system requirements and purchase availability. An app purchase doesn't mean your configuration has synced.

Can I use Shadowrocket on Mac, Apple TV, or Apple Vision?

The compatibility section of the same App Store product page lists Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision. Check the listing for supported devices, system requirements, and whether the purchase is universal. The App Store product page remains the place to get the app.

The app is in English after installation. Where should I start?

Start on Home and locate Add Server, Global Routing, and the connection switch. Import your existing subscription or server details using the Getting Started guide. Config, Proxy, and Direct refer to configuration, proxy, and direct connections. The interface language doesn't verify an app's identity; check the developer, icon, and app ID to confirm it's genuine.

Installed the app? Continue with Getting Started and follow the steps in order: import your details, choose a mode, connect, and verify. For purchase questions, return to the relevant section on this page.
