Privacy Policy

Shadowrocket Docs is the official website and manual for Shadowrocket. This policy explains how data is handled when you visit shadow-doc.com. It applies to the site’s documentation, tutorials, and informational pages. For data handling in the Shadowrocket app and Apple’s store services, consult the privacy information for those respective services.

1. Scope and information you provide

This is a static documentation site. It does not offer account registration, ask visitors for an email address, or collect names, phone numbers, or payment details through forms. You can read the manual without providing personally identifying information to this site.

The tutorials assume you already have your own subscription or server details. This site does not provide node services, or provide, sell, or recommend nodes or subscriptions. Do not enter subscription URLs, passwords, access credentials, or QR codes containing this information in the website address bar or page parameters. A one-time client purchase is not a service plan; app purchases and existing connection configurations are managed separately.

2. Visit logs and analytics

When your browser requests a webpage, the site’s hosting infrastructure may log your IP address, requested path, visit time, response status, and browser information. These records help deliver pages, diagnose issues, and handle unusual requests. Whether referring-page information is sent depends on your browser and the referring site’s settings.

We use site analytics to understand page views, device categories, on-site navigation, and clicks on store links. This helps us improve the documentation structure and identify broken links. When you click the App Store product link on the download page, we may record that click event; it does not include the purchase outcome. Site analytics do not give us access to configurations or connection details saved in Shadowrocket.

3. Cookies, local storage, and browser controls

Static page display does not depend on an account login. If analytics uses cookies or similar browser storage, they are used only to recognize visits, distinguish sessions, and compile aggregate reports. Preferences such as language selection and section navigation may also be represented in page paths or URL fragments, without relying on persistent storage.

You can review this site’s cookies and site data in your browser settings, restrict storage, or clear the data at any time. After clearing it, you may need to select your preferences again, and analytics may recognize visits differently. Browser cache stores page resources for repeat loading; it is separate from saving configurations in the app. Clearing this site’s data does not delete configurations in Shadowrocket.

4. App Store links and purchases

Shadowrocket is available only on Apple platforms, and the App Store is the only place to get it: Shadowrocket on the App Store. The page is operated by Apple. After you follow the link, account sign-in, payment, purchase history, and related data handling are subject to Apple’s terms and privacy policy.

This site does not receive payment card details, Apple Account passwords, or order information, and a link click alone cannot tell us whether a purchase was completed. Check the App Store page for device compatibility, system requirements, and purchase availability. For purchase verification and buying instructions, see the download page.

5. Data handling and your choices

Visit logs and analytics should be limited to what is needed to operate and maintain the site and improve its documentation. Visitor personal information is not sold. Hosting infrastructure logs and data stored in your browser are handled separately; clearing browser history does not delete records already created on the server.

You can limit referrer information, block analytics requests, or stop visiting the site. These settings may affect the completeness of analytics, but should not change the manual’s content. We do not ask visitors to provide app passwords or complete subscription URLs to help diagnose reading issues.

6. Policy updates and further information

If site features, analytics methods, or the scope of data handling change, this page will be updated and the last-updated month at the top will be revised. Changes involving new data uses will be explained when they take effect. Visitors can check this page for the current policy.

For questions about the site or instructions, see Troubleshooting or Getting Started. These pages provide help and are not channels for submitting personal information. This policy does not replace the privacy documents applicable to the Shadowrocket app or Apple services.
